This Insta360 camera is pretty incredible. Absolutely horrible noise and dynamic range but thanks to using the DJI Pocket 2 in recent months, I have learned to lean into it.
I am very excited to film with this 360 camera and figure out how I can make it cinematic. I love the surge of small cameras these days. Even though you can get an incredible cinema camera for around $1500, it is the small cameras that have been catching my interest lately. Maybe it is the idea that creativity loves a box?
Still learning this camera. I find I greatly enjoy the form factor but often wish I could turn off the stabilization.
I purchased a DJI Pocket 2 at the beginning of the year. Very interesting and fun camera to use.
I shoot with it in the PRO mode, plus battery saver, no ND.
It has about 5 stops of dynamic range (haha) but is extremely fun to use. I’m trying to figure out a go to grade for the camera and have found it is very hard in mixed light especially with autoexposure and WB enabled.
Here are some grades from daylight keys. This camera reminds me of the a super 8 camera for home movies back in the day. But it is a gimbal, 4k, great direction mics, and is the size of phat Apple TV remote. Such an interesting device.
I don’t think it has caught on mainstream but I would love to see this same form factor continue to be developed.

The only similarities between the videos with my brothers and Made By Spencer is that I am the person behind the camera. I think real estate is going to be a very interesting landscape in the United States and more specifically in California over the next few years, and it is something I want to do my homework on. I am also interested in seeing if I can somehow make real estate more interesting and avoid the used car salesman vibes!
